Drama Next Week
Next Wednesday evening at 8 o'clock for the first time in 200 years, John Gay's "Three Hours After Marriage," will be performed by the Kirkland Houses Dramatic Club, in the Junior Common Room.
Taking the lead in a cast of 20, Martin D. Schwarz '38 will play the part of Doctor Fossile. Other important characters are Stanley A. Miller '38 as Mrs. Townley, Wiley E. Mayne '38 as Mrs. Phoebe Cliket, and Richard S. Wheeler '39 as Plotwell.
To do full justice to the character, the part of Sir Tremendous will be taken by a prominent member of the Faculty, Andre Morize, professor of French Literature. Edward A. Whitney '17, associate professor of History and Literature, and Huntington Brown '22, instructor of English, are directing the production.
Christmas Dance Scheduled
Duke Oliver and his Rhythm Manor Orchestra will furnish the music for the annual Kirkland Christmas Dance on Friday evening, December 11, from 10 to 2 o'clock. Dress will be formal; tickets are priced at $2.50 per couple and $1.50 stag.
