Stepping into the breach last night the Student Council made plans to rescue 1200 middies from the subway station island in Harvard Square upon their arrival at 8:30 o'clock Saturday morning. Tercentenary Guides have been resurrected and a committee of four have volunteed to go to the kiczk and act as official greeters for the undergraduate body.

The midshipmen expressed a desire to take a look around the University, a request which was relayed by H.A.A. officials to the Student Council. Although 1200 will arrive not all are expected to tour the Yard, but those who desire to see the academic set up of the eleven they face in the afternoon will be taken care of by five guides, each capable of leading around 100 men.

The council men who volunteered to do the greeting are: Thomas H. Bilodeau '37, Joseph P. Kennedy '39, Francis Keppel '38, and Chester W. MacArhtur '37. They will be on hand from 8:30 o'clock until 10 o'clock.

No other business of note was taken up by the Council and after providing for getting the 1200 middies out of the middle of Harvard Square, the meeting was adjourned until next Thursday at 7 o'clock.
