CRIMSON ELEVEN KEYED UP FOR NAVY BATTLE

BURSAR'S CARDS ARE NECESSARY FOR ADMITTANCE

Varsity practice open to all undergraduates this afternoon at 3:15 o'clock. Bursar's cards must be shown at the gate.

There was an atmosphere of eager anticipation on the Varsity practice field yesterday afternoon, an attitude that has been conspicuously absent in all previous Thursday workouts.

As Dick Harlow directed the final tuning up operations before the Naval launching, it was evident that the entire squad felt that they were on the eve of their first major victory in three years. There is no overconfidence--the coaching staff has taken care of that--but the underdog spirit of two weeks ago has gone the way of Princeton invincibility. Oldtimers around Soldiers Field have pronounced the psychological condition of the Crimson team perfect for the clash tomorrow.

The usual punting and point kicking drill was followed by work on the dummies yesterday, one of the best blocking and tacking practices of the season. Pass offense was next on the docket, with the eight "first string" backs alternating passes against the C team. Two "Navy" team then took the field to give the Varsity defense a final checking. Kicking under pressure and signal running completed the afternoon's schedule.

No further changes in the following starting lineup are expected: Green, l.e.; Kevorkian, l.t.; Gaffney, l.g.; Jones, c.; Allen, r.g.; Nee, r.t.; Jameson, r.e.; Wilson, q.b.; Roberts, l.h.b.; McTernen, r.h.b.; Watt, f.b.

Both Charlie Kessler and Don Daugh- ters, who were on the injured list last week, are again fit and will probably see action early in the game. The alternate A backfield of Boston, Oakes, Stuart, and Struck are also expected to see first half contact.
