Minor and Freshman Weekend Sports

1940 Eleven Impressive in Defeat by Exeter Saturday

Although displaying power once they got rolling, the Freshman football team suffered from first period wildness and was turned back by Exeter Saturday on the short end of a 12-7 score.

The schoolboys, off to a fast start and aided by off tackle thrusts and some helpful penalties against the Yardlings, pushed over two touchdowns in the first period. In the second half however the picture changed and Exeter only had possession of the ball three times the entire half.

Harvard's score came as a result of a steady march with Pratt packing the ball across. Hoey converted.

Coach Henry Lamar started the following team: Maguire, le., Downing, lt., Fahr, lg., Bird, c., Wood, rg., Healey, rt., Kelly, re., Hoye, q., Moore, rh., Curtiss, lh., Bailey, f.
