Dressed on this occasion in his newest grey clock, hat to match, a sparkling Christmas the, and a mischievous twinkle in his eye, the Vagabond will descend from his Tower this evening--where he has been all too much of late--and sup quite royally on Puree Mongol, honey, skin to the best from the Isles of Greece, Chicken, conceived in the Brook side manner, Peas, from the Birds Eye Foundation and invalidated triple A potatoes. And all prepared in the excellent cuisine of Dunster tradition.
The Vagabond regrets he cannot invite you all to this small feast in honor of Mr. Richard Harlow--but he does know Dunster would ring out a happy welcome to you to hear Mr. Harlow's informal talk on college football at 7:30 in the large common room.
On the other hand, if you think an illustrated lecture in the Peabody Room at Phillips Brooks House on "Experiment In International Living" will come nearer to suiting your plate, then the Vagabond takes pleasure in suggesting you hear Mr. Donald Watt's talk at 8 o'clock tonight. Mr. Watt will have much to say especially of interest to those who are contemplating a trip abroad this summer.
The Vagabond must now turn to some business of his own. It is with deep gratitude--and yet with mixed feelings--that he expresses his appreciation to those generous Patrsons and friends who have been largely solicitous in bringing to the University and the Vagabond's Tower those famous comes from the Tower of Monastery Church at Beuron. The members of the Tower take this opportunity to thank especially the very Reverend Lord Paul Hunting short of London, England in finally making this gift possible; and announce if all goes well and the installation of the final bells can be completed today they will ring out their nostalgic cry at 8:45 this evening. It is most unfortunate that several of those kind patrons who are personally involved in installing the chimes will have to speed away be train immediately after the performance. Though the Vagabond, so to speak, is left holding the ladder, nevertheles, he takes pleasure in wishing them much success, Godspeed and many happy returns of the reading season.
