Following a cut that pared the Varsity squad to a mere 17 players, the Crimson nine will meet B. U. at Nickerson Field, Weston, this afternoon in the first of this weeks games.

Coach Mitchell is uncertain as to his starting pitcher against the Terriers, but in any case he plans to save his number one man, Bill Lincoln, for starting duty against Princeton when the men from Nassau come to town Saturday.

Mitch indulged in his rather drastic squad surgery for the purpose of increased efficiency in handling his men, feeling as he does that the fewer men he has to work with, the higher the pitch of efficiency to which he can bring them. Such of the men who, during the Jayvee season, show themselves worthy of Varsity rank, will be reinstated after the Junior Varsity games are over.

The following men have been retained on the squad: pitchers, Bill Lincoln, Drib Braggiotti, Frank Wood, Martin Victor, and Dick Walsh; catchers, Captain Dick Maguire, Bob Waldinger; infielders, Tom Bilodeau, Bill Hayes, Craig Woodruff, Johnny Adzigian, John Fitzpatrick; outfielders, Braman Gibbs, Ben Prouty, Frank Owen, Dick Fletcher, and Jim Sullivan.
