With the selection of Miss Clara Butler for the feminine lead in their spring production of A. A. Milne's comedy "Sarah Simple," officials of the Dramatic Club yesterday completed the assigning of the chief parts in the production. For the two important male roles they have chosen Norton Goodwin '38 and Frederick M. Miller '37.

Some of the lesser parts have also been filled, though a competition is still being held between Paul Killiam, Jr. '37, Robert L. McKee '37, and Arthur Szathmary '37 for the role of William Bendish. Two Radcliffe students, Romola Robb and Ruth Williams will take the subordinate feminine parts of Marianne and Alf Truda.

For Miss Butler, as the feminine lead, this will be a return to Harvard dramatics, in which she last appeared in 1932 while a student at Radcliffe. Since then she has acted in plays produced by the Copley Theatre, the Stagers, and the Barnstormers.

Goodwin, playing opposite her, had his previous dramatic experience as Amayas in the Wellesley play "Tobias and the Angel," while Miller appeared in the Wellesley-Harvard production "R. U. R."

The direction of "Sarah Simple" has been put under the charge of Edward P. Goodnow '17, who has managed several previous productions of the Dramatic Club and has done work for both the Copley Theatre and the Stagers.
