The Athletic Committee has met and swimming is abolished. Although we are sorry to see swimming removed from the list of winter sports, we are compelled to accept the decision of the Committee as wise. We have long dwelt on the fact that there is no suitable swimming tank in Cambridge and as a result our teams have not been properly trained or conditioned when they have entered contests. It is, furthermore, true that the inadequate facilities necessitate an undue amount of travelling.
The semi-annual collection of clothing, magazines, and textbooks will be made under the auspices of the Phillips Brooks House today and tomorrow.
