With a large list of entrants, the annual University Handicap Track Meet will get under way on Monday at Soldiers Field when the hurdles event starts off a two-day program. Many of the stars of the 1934 meet will be back for this winter's competition, with such men as Dick Brayton and Bob Playfair standing a strong chance of repeating their victories of a year ago.
Hostilities will begin at 3 o'clock on Monday with the hurdles, followed shortly by the 50-yard dash and the 300-yard run. After that will come the mile and one half event, then at 4 o'clock the shotput, and fifteen minutes later the 35-pound weight throw.
On the following day more field events will be run off, with the high jump and pole vault scheduled for 2 o'clock. The remaining track events, the 600 and three-quarter mile, will take place at 3 o'clock. The broad jump at 3.45 o'clock will close the meet.
