Seven new men will be in the Varsity's starting lineup when the Crimson meets the Purple Crusaders tomorrow afternoon. A combination of injuries and promotions has forced Dick Harlow to change nearly two-thirds of the lineup that started against Springfield.
In the backfield George Hedblom is the sole survivor of the wholesale slaughter that has wiped out the greater part of Harlow's carefully constructed machine. He will again fill Bob Haley's old post at quarter.
To support him behind the line he will have George Blackwood and George Ford and probably Johnny Adzigian. There is a slight chance that Freddy Moseley will start at left half, but the odds are very strongly in favor of Ziggy's having this position.
Adzigian's Job
This means that a large part of both the passing and running will fall on the very capable shoulders of "The Baron" Adzigian. This is no great surprise, since Adzigian proved decisively a week ago that he is a master in both of these departments and is equalled only by Moseley.
The punting will be largely George Ford's duty, with Hedblom taking care of some of the assignment. As a matter of fact, the coaching staff seems to be fairly well convinced that Sophomore George Roberts, one-time Milton Academy star, can out-kick anyone else on the team.
Roberts may very well see action on Saturday, but his rapid promotion from Jayvee to potential Varsity first-string in the space of one week has been a little too sudden to justify his starting. The strain on a player so handled would be too great.
Line Changes
Whatever may happen in the backfield, the forward line's changes are announced as definite. Kelly and Dubiel will once more be the ends and Jim Gaffney will start at left guard. Aside from those three the whole frontier will be changed.
The complete lineup will probably be; Dubiel, Le.; Glendinning, l.t.; Gaffney, l.g.; Greeley, c.; Kessler, r.g.; Maser, r.g.; Kelly, r.c.; Hedblom, q.b.; Adzigian, l.h.b.; For, r.h.b.; Blackwood, f.b.
