Although unfortunate, the action of the Athletic Committee in declaring Captain Bob Haley ineligible was forthright and in accord with Harvard's traditionally high athletic policy. Thus the Harlow regime begins with a reaffirmation of standards. And the success it promises will be enhanced by the security of the ground upon which it stands.
A cool field general and an excellent punter, Haley will be missed by the team and its supporters. But the lack of evasion with which the problem has been resolved is fairest both to the Athletic Committee and Haley.
