1938 HOCKEY PLAYERS CONQUER NEWTON HIGH

HIGHEST NUMBER OF GOALS MADE BY ROBERTS

In the opening game of the winter term hockey series yesterday, Charles R. Allen '38, newly-elected captain of the Freshman pucksters, led the Crimson sextet to a 12-2 victory over Newton High at the Boston Garden. The tam now has a record of four victories to one defeat.

Flipping the puck into the cage once during each of the three periods, George F. Roberts scored the highest number of goals yesterday. Two goals apiece were made by John S. Mecham, Edward L. Cutter, Jr., and Ralph L. Pope, Jr. Other players who scored were Samuel T. Hicks, Jr., and Charles R. Allen.
