Scandals are usually attributable to lack of moral fiber but something rather inexplicable has happened in Adams House. Blame seems to fall on the Dining Hall which for so long brightened the faces of the W.C.T.U. with its refusals to serve beer. It has apparently not only completely reversed its stand now but has become an ardent wet supporter.
What we can't quite understand is why innocent looking match boxes were entrusted with such a heavy responsibility. For on one side they bear the picture of a cocktail shaker and on the other they have recipes for side-cars, liberties, and manhattans. Topping the whole business is a motto, entitled "Your Favorite Cocktail."
Possibly this is an attempt to feet out public opinion, but then the answer is obvious. More likely it is an attempt at expression by someone who feels strongly the overpowering strength of the dining hall czar. Anyway an explanation of these tactics would be desirable.
