Jumping off to an early game lead, the Kirkland House hall club out-batted and out-fielded the Lowell baseballers to finish up with an easy 10-5 margin in one of the House diamond contests held yesterday afternoon on Soldiers Field.
Jim Donnelly, on the mound for Kirk- land, was credited with six strike-outs and not a single passed man, while Dick Wells, doing the hurling for the Bellboys, turned in four fans and six walks. Despite a spirited fifth-inning rally, which brought in four runs in succession, the Lowell men were unable to make any encroaches on the steadily increasing number of Kirkland tallies.
