In response to a telegram sent by the CRIMSON, Senator William E. Borah of Idaho declined last night to make any statement on his split with President Roosevelt over the silver issue.
On Wednesday Borah walked out of a conference that was trying to settle the silver coinage question, asserting that the Administration's bill was insufficient. His telegram read:
"Harvard CRIMSON, Cambridge, Mass.
President's proposal has not been made public and I prefer not to discuss it until it is.
