Films
University--"Bolero". George Raft and Carole Lombard in a colorful, musical movie featuring Ravel's aphrodisiac masterpiece. The music by the way is played too fast. "Six of a Kind". Charlie Ruggles nonsense to relieve weary eyes. W. C. Fields steals the show.
Paramount and Fenway -- "Wonder Bar". Al Jolson's new picture with 600 girls, 5 song hits and 10,000 thrills according to the press agents. Also "Two Alone" with Tom Brown and Jean Parker.
Fine Arts--"Emil und die Detektive". Juvenile cast portrays the amusing pranks of a young boy. Releases say that young and old will love it.
Loew's State--"Tarzan and His Mate". Tarzan Weissmuller goes roaring through the forests again with Maureen O'Sullivan in his arms. All right if you like Tarzan.
R. K. O. Keith's--"Wild Cargo". Last two days of Frank Buck's story of his triumphs over the most ferocious of wild animals. Edna Ferber's "Glamour" with Constance Cummings and Paul Lukas starts Saturday.
Keith's Boston--"Murder in Trinidad". Starts today and we have never heard of it. You will have to judge for yourself. Roscoe Ates on the stage should pack them in despite the film.
Metropolitan--"Bottoms Up". Spencer Tracy runs riot through a flock of beautiful girls and as many songs. On the stage. Henny Davis stars and starlets.
Majestic--"The House of Rothschild". Third week of this story about the financiers who put Napoleon out of business. George Arliss seems to have gone over well in his latest hit.
