Dunster To Oppose Winthrop In First Inter-House Debate

Weber, Williams, and Youden Picked To Represent Puritans

By accepting Winthrop House's challenge to compete in a debate on Thursday, March 22, Dunster House completed plans for the first inter-House debate to be held in Harvard University, it was learned last night. Dunster will uphold the affirmative side of the proposition: Resolved: That a system of higher education similar to that in England be adopted by Harvard College.

John S. Weber '36, Webster F. Williams, Jr. '35, and Richard J. Youdin '36 will debate for Winthrop House. Dunster's team has not yet been chosen. The debate will be preceded by the usual Thursday night Winthrop House dinner. In accordance with a suggestion recently voiced in a CRIMSON editorial, it is planned not to have a decision of this debate.

It was also learned that plans for the organization of debating teams are under way in other Houses. This afternoon, the Brooks House team is holding an organization meeting.
