Coming out from behind in the last few minutes of play to win from an efficient Yale trio, the Harvard polo team sent nine goals between the markers in a scoring spurt which won the game 13 1/2--12 at Yale's indoor riding hall Saturday.
The spectacular playing of Edward H. Gerry '36 at No. 1, who held the scoring honors with seven tallies, saved the day for the Crimson riders. Two goals behind Gerry was Lowell S. Dillingham, at No. 2, Harvard's long-shooting Senior, whose well-placed shots made his partner's last second scoring possible.
Captain Tommy Davis scored two goals himself besides defending the Harvard goal from the constant threat of the Eli players who led the scoring for the first two chukkers.
Having defeated Army, Princeton, and Yale teams, Harvard's hard-hitting malletmen are preparing for their intercollegiate championship bouts which will take place in New York during the spring vacation.
