Crowning the achievements of the Cercle Francais this year, the play "L'Amour Medecin" was presented last night in Eliot House before an audience numbering over 250 persons. Wallace A. Fowlie, instructor in French, who directed the play, pronounced himself completely satisfied with the performance.

Outstanding among the actors were DeVeaux O. Smith '37, Robert A. Turner '37, Carl L. Billman '35, and Philip Dur '35. The scene of the doctors was exceptionally well acted, occasioning much laughter among the audience. A hearty applause and three curtain calls followed the close.

This play means the end of the depression for the Cercle, which is once more on a sound basis. The last play which was presented three years ago, was attended by so small an audience that the plays had to be discontinued. When he was asked what effect the success of last night's play would have upon the Cercle. President Duy's only comment was: "Ressurexu sient dixit."
