With the announcement of patronesses, ushers, and an orchestra, the Freshman Dance Committee has completed its plans for an informal dance in the Union Saturday evening.
From 8.30 until 12 o'clock there will be dancing in the lower Common Room of the Union, where the ten-piece Harvard House Orchestra will provide the music. For privileges on the dance floor the price of participation will be $1 per couple or stag.
William L. Batt heads the list of ushers, who have been selected from the Dance Committee. Others include: Charles DeL. Ashmore, Charles F. Harding, 3rd., Joseph F. Keeley, Jr., F. Monroe Ludden, Theodore V. Marsters, Robert F. Mozlkey, Ernest Sachs, Jr., Albert Stickney, Jr., Bache Bc E. Whitlock, Jr., and William B. Winkler.
The patronesses for the event, the last of the 1938 social season until the Jubilee in spring, are: Mrs. Walter B. Canon, Mrs. Henry Chauncey, Mrs. A. Chester Hanford, Mrs. William E. Hocking, Mrs. Arthur N. Holcombe, Mrs. Delmar Leighton, Mrs. Roger B. Merriman, Mrs. James B. Munn, and Miss Rose Sherman.
