PAGE WINS SOPHOMORE FOOTBALL MANAGERSHIP

FRANCIS DELAND '36 TO RUN TEAM NEXT YEAR

At the Harvard-Yale football banquet which was held in New Haven on Saturday evening after the game it was announced that Walter Haines Page 2nd. '37, of Huntington, Long Island, had won the Sophomore managerial competition and would become first manager in his Senior year.

Page prepared at Milton Academy, where he was prominent in student activities, managing the football team during his last year. He stood second in the Freshman managerial competition, which was won by Charles W. Hubbard 3rd. '37. Hubbard was elected second assistant manager on Saturday, and Mason T. Rogers, Jr. '37 was elected third assistant manager.

Hubbard who prepared at Noble and Greenough, was a member of last year's Red Book Committee, Sub-Chairman of the Smoker Committee, and a member of the Instrumental Clubs. Rogers prepared at Belmont High, where he managed the football team.

Francis S. Deland, Jr. '36, becomes manager of next year's football team, succeeding Francis H. Burr '35. Page will succeed Deland the following year.
