A few hours before the opening whistle blew for the game on Saturday, the following telegram, addressed to the CRIMSON, was received from Ernst F. S. Hanfstaengl '09, director of the Nazi press:
Profoundly regret inability being with you in New Haven today stop Hope we roll up big score am listening in on the game stop Invite any and all members of the Harvard team who may be in Europe next summer to be my guests in Munich, irrespective race, color, or previous condition of servitude.
