Miami, Fla., Oct. 24--A resolution demanding immediate payment of the soldiers' bonus rode swiftly today through the American Legion's powerful legislative committee.
The controversy over cash payment of the Adjusted Service Certificates, not due for another decade, will be carried tomorrow to the convention floor, where sentiment is said to be preponderantly affirmative.
The committee made its decision after Commander Hayes had a letter from the President of the United States.
