The metropolitan photomen had their first inning yesterday afternoon when F. D. R. Jr.'s luggage was trundled into Weld Hall. There is, one must admit, something nauseous about this promptitude, something reminiscent of all the vapid press nonsense which accompanied John Coolidge and Allan Hoover to the Business School in 1929. When Florence Trumbull said that John was not to drive a car, when H. H. crisped the wires to warn Allan against the talkies, a gawpish public moved in. Even in those days it was all very unpleasant. Perhaps those Spanish trunk labels hold little promise after all.
