The first in a series of organ recitals which will be given weekly throughout the summer in the Memorial Church is planned for Thursday evening at 7.15 o'clock. The selection will be played by A. M. Phelps, choir master of the Cathedral of St. Paul in Boston, on the new $50,000 Isham organ which has recently been installed in the church. Improvements have been made in the acoustics so that they are now perfect. The concerts will last slightly more than half an hour and will be open to the public as well as the Summer School.
The program for the first recital follows: Bach, Prelude in G. Major; Brahms, Choral Prelude. "A Rose breaks forth;" Wagner, Zug zum Munster ("Lohengrin"); Wider. Andante Cantable (Forth Symphony); Guilmant, Minuet (Forth Sonata).
