To the Editor of the CRIMSON:

Within the past few weeks the Harvard Liberal Club has received from your columns treatment that is gratuitously unfair and patently stupid.

The CRIMSON carries its stultifying adolescent humor to the point of simple bad taste when it attempts to deride (in what it perhaps considers subtle fashion) the activities of an organization which obviously is attempting to provide a medium for the expression of liberal student opinion on important questions of public policy.

That the CRIMSON seeks to deride the Liberal Club by stating that a poker game is held when a sufficient crowd for more serious business is not in attendance, that the CRIMSON decried (even though in muffled tones) the recent attempt of the Liberal Club to condemn Hitler's "All Fools" German Regime, that the CRIMSON, with characteristic puerility attempted to disparage the recent protest meeting in the Scottsboro and Mooney cases by such a distortion of the events of the meeting, that, unless one read the article closely, one would gather from the biased and doltish headlines "Arguments Break Out at Meeting of Liberals," that the main event of the meeting was the occurrence of friction within the club. This is simply not the truth, but a petty, inexcusable distortion of the facts which gives the impartial reader the impression that some member of the CRIMSON staff is prejudiced against the Liberal Club, and is making use of the CRIMSON to vent a personal grudge.
