150-POUND EIGHTS WILL RACE KENT NEXT WEEK

ALL VARSITY CREWS PRACTICE DURING VACATION

Two 150-pound crews will leave for Connecticut on Sunday to take part in the annual race between the 150's and Kent School; it was announced last night. The race will be held on the following Wednesday over a Henley-distance course on the Housatonic River.

While the 150's are in Connecticut, the three Varsity crews will continue to work out regularly during vacation. In the number one boat Bradford Simmons '34 has replaced Gridley Barrows '34 at the number 3 slide. This is the outstanding place of controversy in the boat, since all the other oarsmen are veterans of the 1932 Yale race. Simmons has three competitors for the position.

The seating of the two 150-pound crews for their workout yesterday afternoon was: the first boat: stroke, A. M. Brown '34; 7, H. N. Stevens '35; 6, G. F. Lombard '33; 5, L. L. Filstrup '33; 4, N. D. Jay '35; 3, W. H. Dunbar '35; 2, J. T. Nichols '34; bow, C. M. Campbell '33; cox, F. F. Jones '35.

The second boat: stroke, P. W. Jopling '35; 7, Richard Prouty '35; 6, Arthur Willis, Jr. '35; 5, J. H. Phillips '35; 4, Andrew Marshall, Jr. '34; 3, D. L. Marks '33; 2, R. K. Pratt '33; bow, G. H. Simonds '35; cox, R. P. Harmon '35.
