HARVARD MERMEN LOSE IN N.I.S.A. WATER MEET

Stowell Places Third in Backstroke Race--Relay Team Fails To Qualify In Inter-Collegiates

E. E. Stowell '34 scored Harvard's only points in the National Intercollegiate Swimming Association Championship at the Yale exhibition pool in New Haven on Saturday evening.

Stowell's points were made in the 150-yard back stroke swim in which he came in third. R. D. Fallon '33, captain of the Varsity, was shut out in both the 50 and 100-yard races while the relay team, composed of Fallon, George Wightman '34, E. P. Uarker '34, and B. S. Wood '33, failed to place in its event.

The final scores of all the colleges entered in the most were as follows: Yale 13, Rutgers 13, Stanford 10, Navy 9, Brown 5, Franklin and Marshall 5, Columbia 3, Harvard 2, Dartmouth 2, Minnesota 1, Ohio State 1.
