In the play-off for winner of the first half of the Inter-House basketball league, Lowell House yesterday afternoon defeated the Winthrop quintet, 22-7.

After trailing at the end of the first half, 14-5, Winthrop was unable to break through the Lowell defense to score more than one basket. The Lowell forwards, meanwhile sank shots almost at will.
