Second and last elections for Senior Class Officers will take place today and tomorrow under the supervision of David W. Lewis '35, chairman of the Junior committee in charge of the balloting. Nineteen officers will be selected: Permanent Class Secretary, six members of the Permanent Class Committee, five members of the Album Committee, and seven members of the Class Day Committee.
Polls will open in Harvard, Sever, and Pierce Halls, between the hours of 10 and 1 o'clock, while Phillips Brooks House will be open between 11 and 1 o'clock for the benefit of commuters. Polls in the Houses will be in charge of the House committees, and will be open during meal times. A large vote is expected this week on the basis of the 70 per cent vote received last week, when the three Class Marshals, the Treasurer, the Ivy Orator, the Orator, the Poet, and the Chorister were elected. Legible signatures are required on the ballots, otherwise the vote will not be counted.
The nominees for Secretary are John R. Canavan, of Dorchester, a graduate of Boston Latin School; Theodore Chase, of Concord, a graduate of Groton and Treasurer of the Student Council; George C. Doyle, of Malden, a graduate of Malden High; Alfred B. Hallowell, of Milton Academy, a member of the Student Council, and a Varsity track man; and Atreus von Schrader, Jr., of New York City, a graduate of Milton and Secretary of the Student Council.
