Winthrop Loses to Adams by 6-5 Score In Closest Game

In the closest contest of the afternoon, Adams downed Winthrop 6-5 yesterday in the opening round of the intramural basketball tournament. The Kirkland Leverett match resulted in a 18-11 win for Kirkland, while Lowell routed Brooks 18-5. In the fourth contest schedule, between Eliot and Dunster, the Dunster team failed to appear. Solomon W. Stern '35, who starred for Lowell, was the individual high scorer of the afternoon, with four goals to his credit.
