Harvard Students To Welcome St. Nick As Animal Keepers

150 Men To Guard Huge Balloons In Annual Pre-Yuletide Parade

When Santa Claus arrives in Boston on Thanksgiving Day after a long hop from the frozen North, one hundred and fifty Harvard students, garbed in multicolored costumes and leading the weirdly shaped Tony Sarg balloons will be at hand to greet him.

The Student Employment Office which is engaging men for Jordan Marsh and Co., sponsors of the pre-Yuletide celebration, expects to secure the requisite number of official greeters.

The aggregation of St. Nicholas welcomers will convene at 13 Birch Street at 8 o'clock Thanksgiving morning. Here groups will be assigned to the mammoth rubber animals which measure up to forty feet in length and twenty feet in height. Owing to the fact that the balloon creatures are inflated with gas and are of such magnitude, it is expected that a number of Harvard men will guard each animal in an attempt to maintain its state of captivity.

Having completed a fitting welcome the students will disband at approximately 12.30 o'clock.
