BASKETBALL TEAM EDGED BY YALE'S CLOSING RALLY

RAUH AND PATTISON LEAD TEAM ATTACK AT NEW HAVEN

Fighting hard for victory, the Yale courtmen edged out the University basketball team by the score of 29 to 25 at New Haven last Saturday. During the early part of the last half the Crimson hoopsters had the lead, the score being 19 to 12.

At the end of the first half, the University team led, 13 to 11. The score was tied twice during this period, once at 5 and again at 7. Nikkel, of Yale, broke the first tie, while W. S. Baskervill '32 scored an easy basket when the score stood seven all.

After a time out in the second period of play, the Yale hoopsters showed renewed energy and from that time on, the Crimson found difficulty in breaking through the Eli defenses.

M. A. Rauh '32 led the scoring for Harvard with six points but he was closely followed by Captain G. H. Pattison '32 with five. McGowan, of Yale, was the high scorer of the game with a total of 12 points.
