As the second debate of the season the Harvard Freshman debating team leaves today for New York City where it will debate against the Columbia University freshmen tonight.
The men selected to represent Harvard are: H. H. Freedlander '35, Robert Kramer '35, A. O. Lindstrum '35, and J. B. Cahn '35 acting as alternate. The subject for the debate is: Resolved: That man has more to fear than to hope for from science in the future. The affirmative side of this question will be argued by the Crimson debaters.
At a debate held last week at Wallingford, Connecticut, with the Choate School the Harvard Freshmen were declared the winners by the audience. No judges were present. The men who participated in this debate were: Morris Pfaelzer, H '35, V. H. Kramer '35, and F. deW. Holman '35. The team debated the negative side of the question: Resolved: That Hoover on his record to date should be reelected president in 1932. The next debate following this will be March 2 with Exeter.
