Nosing out the University of Toronto pugilists by one point the Harvard boxing team last Saturday night came out on the long end of a 4 to 3 score in a match held at the New Indoor Athletic Building:
The surprise of the evening was the defeat by decision of P. W. Hines '34, stellar middleweight boxer, by Longert or Toronto. Bradford Simmons '34, knocked out Hees of Toronto in 1 minute, 45 seconds to win he heavyweight point and clinch the match for the University team. This is the first year that Simmons has done any boxing. He started at the beginning of the season in the elementary class but soon won himself a place on the University squad. The recovery of Sinclair, another Toronto athlete, from a bad physical beating at the hands of G. H. Nawn '32, and the consequent winning of the bout by the former was a high spot of the evening.
