WRESTLING TEAM EKES OUT TIE WITH CHICAGO MATMEN

Defeats Visiting Captain in Second Overtime Period--Johnson May Join Team in Near Future

Harvard grapplers took the last three bouts of the Chicago meet yesterday afternoon to gain a bare 16 to 16 tie with the visiting Westerners, who trimmed Brown matmen in another contest several hours after they met the Crimson aggregation.

R. G. Ames '34 again provided the feature bout of the meet when he threw the stalwart visiting captain in their second overtime period after a terrific bout. M. A. Keyser '33 also had an extremely close match and although winning by a time advantage came near being thrown by his opponent in the last minute. In the 126 pound class Captain Arthur Klein '32 provided the first Crimson win but again displayed the inability to throw his man which has hampered him in practically all his bouts this year, an inability probably caused by too rigid training to get down to weight.

Judging from the comparative times of advantages and falls, Chicago deserved to win the meet more than the Harvard wrestlers who have been thrown out of stride by mid-years. J. H. Crandon '33 proved to be too much out of condition after his long absence from the mat to offer real competition to his rival.

The summary:

118-pound class--Louis (C) defeated Frankel '34 by a time advantage of 3 min., 39 sec.
