INTER-HOUSE EATING

Dean Hanford made the following statement yesterday in order to clear up a possible misunderstanding as to the application of the now arrangements for inter-House eating:

"Our attention has been called to the fact that there appears to be some misunderstanding regarding the privileges granted under the plan of inter-House eating recently approved by the Masters, since certain students both in the College and in the Graduate Schools who are not living in the Houses have attempted to avail themselves of the new arrangement. It seems necessary, therefore, to make it clear that the plan of "Inter-House eating," as the term implies, was established solely to make it possible for a student living in a House to take a limited number of meals each week in a House other than his own and to have the meals so taken charged against the weekly quota for which he has signed up in his own House. The arrangement is one which applies exclusively to students living in the Houses."
