Shubert-"Show Boat." Revival of Ziegfield's greatest and most colorful spectacle. Over 100 girls glorified, and a cast that includes Helen Morgan, Norma Terris, Sammy White, and Eva Puck in elaborate setting with tuneful scores. This show is worth your while.

Colonial-"The Green Pastures." Only two more performances in Boston. Last chance to see Marc Connelley's splendid dramatization of Old Testament tales.

Hollis-"Pinafore." Gilbert and Sullivan's comic operatta flawlessly executed by the Civic Light Opera Company. "Trial by Jury" for a curtain raiser.

Wilbur-"Springtime for Henry." Perfect farce with Henry Hull, Helen Claire, and Edith Atwater.

Plymouth-"Cynara." The distinguished English actor, Philip Merivale in a wistful comedy.

Coming

Hollis-"Patience." One of best of the Gilbertian series, with the regular Civic Light Opera cast including Frank Moulan, William Danforth, and Vivian Hart. Opening Monday.

Plymouth-"The Perfect Marriage." The fourth offering of the season from the American Theatre Society. Fay Bainter, and Edith Barrett have leading roles. Starts Monday.

Colonial-"Cyrano de Bergerac." One performance of this musical romance will be given Friday night, November 4.

Movies

RKO Keith-"Washington Merry GoRound." Film adaptation of the book which has created some thing of a sensation. Lee Tracy and Constance Cummings starring. Opens today.

Majestic-"Strange Interlude." Last opportunity to see the film dramatization of O'Neill's play. Norma Shearer and Clark Gable quite convincing.

University-"Bring 'em Back Alive." An excellent jungle picture with all the African noises made in a New York studio. Also "Crooner," Laurel and Hardy feature.
