WINTER TRACK SEASON STARTS TODAY IN CAGE

Training For First Meet on January 30 in Garden Begins--Many Veterans Will Report

With a meeting in the Briggs baseball cage this afternoon at 3 o'clock, the Winter Track season gets under way. The first meet is the Knights of Columbus Meet on Saturday, January 30, in the Boston Garden. This is to be followed by the N.E.A.A.U. meet in the afternoon of Saturday, February 13, and the B.A.A. meet in the evening of the same day. The annual meet with Dartmouth and Cornell is scheduled for Saturday February 27, and the indoor season ends with the I.C.A.A.A.A. meet in New York on Saturday, March 5.

Among those expected to report to Coach Farrell this afternoon are Captain E. E. Record '32, whose specialty is the hurdles, N. P. Hallowell, Jr. '32, Arthur Foote '33, J. M. Fox '32, B. E. Estes '32, and F. D. Murphy '33, who excel in the distance events; J. B. Hawes '32, A. C. Forbes '32, and J. W. Crickard '33, whose specialties are the sprints; G. W. Kuehn '32, veteran shot putter; N. P. Dodge '33, J. M. Morso '34, and J. B. White '34, who are middle distance runners.

There will be a meeting for the managerial candidates this afternoon at the H. A. A. at 2 o'clock. Only sophomores are eligible for the competition, the winner of which will become manager of track his senior year.
