The Harvard rugby team defeated Syracuse 14 to 6 on Soldiers Field Saturday afternoon in the roughest rugby encounter of the year. The game, a second one played between the two universities, put one Syracuse and two Harvard men out of action.

T. N. Lawler 2L, an ex-Princeton football star, put Harvard in the lead at the outset of the contest when he scored a successful penalty kick for three points. Going into the second half with a score of three to three, the Crimson team showed superior physical trim, and in spite of a hard fight by Syracuse, tries by J. A. Potter '34, R. W. Straus '31, and Lawler, and a converted kick by W. C. Carter '31 gave Harvard the victory.
