TIGHT BATTLE EXPECTED AS H-Y NETMEN CLASH

Luce, Ryan, Weiner Threaten Crimson Court Supremacy--Harvard Has Lost But One Match, Yale Only Two

HARVARD  YALE Ingraham, No. 1.  No. 1, Ryan Hill, No. 2  No. 2, Andrews Tower, No. 3  No. 3, Lorenzen Frame, No. 4  No. 4, Luce Patterson, No. 5  No. 5, Weiner Breese, No. 6  No. 6, Boscom

Harvard's tennis team will bring a successful Spring season to a close today when it meets Yale at New Haven.

The Crimson netmen have been especially strong this Spring, winning ten of their eleven matches. They dropped their one match to North Carolina, intercollegiate champions, by the score of 7 to 2. Two days before the Crimson's defeat, Yale was downed by the Tarheelers 5 to 4 in a hard fought match to make the Blue's second defeat.

With both outfits exceptionally strong this year, it is doubtful which will win. The Crimson netmen are confident of their strength and expect victory, but on the other hand Yale with Ryan, Bascom, Luce, and Weiner, has a team with three national tennis figures, and is equally confident of a win. Whatever the outcome, the match should be close.
