Announcement was made yesterday by J. B. Stetson III '33 of the patronesses, floor committee, and other arrangements for the Lowell House Dance to take place in the dining hall on Friday evening. As it will be the first formal social function under the auspices of the House Plan, the affair is of especial interest, and will in all probability lead to similar affairs in the other Houses.
Music will be furnished from 9 o'clock until 2 o'clock by R. G. Edwards '31, a resident of Lowell House, and his North Shore Ramblers. Supper will be served at midnight. In order to provide a natural setting for the ball, the committee in charge has decided to make use of a large number of cedar trees, which will be placed in the window recesses along the walls of the room. Cut flowers will complete the decorations.
House Open for Inspection
For the convenience of the guests both the Tutors' and the Main Common Rooms will be available, as well as the House library, which will be open for inspection throughout the evening. At present, work on the bells in the tower is being pushed ahead rapidly, in the hope that it will be possible to ring them on the evening of the dance.
The following ladies have been requested to serve as patronesses: Mesdames W. E. Beach, R. P. Blake, P. P. Chase, J. L. Coolidge, Hallowell Davis, A. T. Davison, W. Y. Elliott, E. S. Emery, A. L.
