LOWELL BEATS DUNSTER AT BASKETBALL 27 TO 14

Teamwork of Victors is Deciding Factor--Upton Stars for Losers, Totaling 10 Points

In defeating the Dunster House quintet yesterday afternoon by a score of 27 to 14 the Lowell House team won the first inter-house basketball game. For the first three eight-minute periods the game was close, but the Lowell House players showed their better training in the last quarter when they tallied frequently.

T. G. Upton '31 of Dunster played the only outstanding game making 10 of his team's 14 points, and played an able game at center throughout. A. T. Schumacher '33 was the only other Dunster man to score when he shot two field goals in the last period.

The Lowell House team worked well together as a result of their daily practice. F. M. Burke '31 was the high scorer for his house with four field goals to his credit.

The Lowell House team was: Burke, r.f.; O. D. Johnson '31, l.f.; A. E: Taylor '33, c; J. B. Howard '33, r.g.; C. L. Sommers '31, l.g.; with R. W. Moore '33, J. F. Faude '31, and Howard Berstein '33, as substitutes. On the Dunster squad were: E. C. Pugh '33, Matthew Hale '33, T. G. Upton '31, King Upton '32, S. P. Duggan '31, O. E. Fuerbringer '32, J. S. Plaut '33, and Schumacher.
