The Freshman scholarships of the Harvard Club of New York City were practically doubled at the end of mid-years by an addition to the original $400 tuition of another $400. The condition is that the holders of the scholarships have satisfactory grades and in financial need.
This large increase is due to the fact that the most likely New York boys were seeking scholarships in colleges at or in New York City rather than at Harvard, due to the comparatively greater cost of traveling to and living at the latter place.
The five Freshmen now holders of these scholarships are: Kenneth Cameron, W. L. Eaton, W. H. Lehr, I. C. Martin, and J. M. Veague Jr.
