Lynn Sumner, of New York City, and Bruce Barton, prominent author, also of New York City, will speak at a banquet to be given in honor of the winners of the Bok Advertising Awards, on next Friday night in Chase Hall at the Business School. The faculty of the Business School and various men prominent in the field of advertising are to be invited to the banquet, at which the announcement of the winners of the contest will be made.
The guests will gather at the faculty club of the Business School at 6 o'clock and then proceed to the banquet in Chase Hall. A large delegation of prominent New York business men is expected to attend. After the dinner both Summer and Barton will speak. Sumner is president of the G. Lynn Summer Company, Incorporated, and was one of the judges of the advertising competition. Barton is a well-known author and advertising man. The subjects of their speeches have not yet been announced.
The purpose of the banquet is to announce the winners of the various prizes of the Bok Advertising competition and to award these prizes. There are ten prizes of $1,000 each and one gold medal. The judges in the contest have made the decisions as to the winners of these awards, but their identity will not be disclosed until Friday night.
