Due to widespread regret caused by the announcement of the Harvard Society for Contemporary Art that it will be forced to close because of financial difficulty, the executives of the organization have determined to gather the names of all students interested in its continuance.
This step has been taken not only to sound out the possibility of support in the student body, but also to obtain an actual canvassing body in the present emergency. All names are requested to be handed in by 6 o'clock on Monday, to the secretary in the gallery at the Harvard Co-operative building.
A board of six officers will be selected from among those signing up, and these men will be expected to attend the meeting before each exhibition, to offer criticisms or suggestions, and to appoint their own successors upon graduating. The executives feel that the students should be given a tangible means of expressing their good will toward the Society.
