No cut will be made this year in the University swimming squad, Coach H. S. Ulen said yesterday. Instead of being split into A and B divisions as was done last year, the full number of 28 men will be carried through the season. The Freshman squad has been reduced to 29 men, with the possibility of a few more being added from the candidates who have not yet reported for their final trials.
Captain B. S. Wood '33 will be the out standing sprinter. Others in the class are R. D. Fallon '33, H. M. Howe '34, E. P. Parker '34, W. R. Timken '33, and George Wightman '34. The distance events will be taken care of by R. S. Baxter '34, R. S. Crosby '34, E. C. Devereaux '34, T. H. Jameson '33, A. G. Malkan '33, R. J. Strauss '32, J. L. Ward '34, and E. E. White '32.
J. P. Duane '32 and Sidney Bluhm '32 are the most promising divers, with E. V. Keville '33 and E. M. Wadsworth '33 as substitutes. For the back stroke Coach Ulen will rely on H. V. Atherton '32, J. T. Blackwell '34, E. G. Helvenston '33, W. J. McTigue '33, and E. E. Stowell '34; for the breast stroke on A. C. Dearing '34, H. G. Dillingham '34, G. C. Larcom '33, H. C. Lehman '33, and E. H. Mairs '34
