ANNUAL HANDICAP MEET WILL BE HELD

Reid, Bullwinkle, and Mardulier Are Among Entrants--Liberal Handicaps Conceded

Inexperienced track and field performers will have an opportunity to prove their worth today and tomorrow in the annual Fall Handicap Meet, which starts on Soldiers Field at 2 o'clock this afternoon. The meet will be an informal affair, and Coach Hagerty will give liberal handicaps to untried contestants.

Men taking part in the meet which is being directed by H. T. Wagstaff '32 will sign the entry lists at Dillon Field House, and will be given equipment. The first three to place in each event will receive medals from the H. A. A.

Fifteenth men are entered in the 75-yard dash, major event of this afternoon's competition, with trials scheduled for 3.30 o'clock and finals for 4.05 o'clock. The javelin throw at 2 o'clock will see new performers given handicaps of as much as 15 feet, while the handicap in much as 15 feet, while the handicap in the high jump, set for 3 o'clock, generally varies from one to eight inches. Other events are the shot put, staged in the old cage at 3.30 o'clock, the 70-yard high hurdles at 3.45 o'clock, and the 440 yard run at 4 o'clock.

Several former track starts are expected to offer severe competition for the undergraduate runners. Among those entered in the meet are J. L. Reid 3L, once intercollegiate cross country champion, intercollegiate cross country champion, and captain of the 1929 Harvard track team; G. H. Bullwinkle 1G, former captain of the C. C. N. Y. track and cross country teams; and F. J. Mardulier '30, former Crimson hurdle star.

The schedule for tomorrow afternoon's competition is as follows: 3 o'clock, pole vault and broad jump; 3.30 o'clock, 150-yard dash (trials and semi-finals); 3.45 o'clock, 140-yard low hurdles; 4 o'clock, 880-yard run; and 4.05 o'clock 150-yard dash (finals).
