Two lectures on modern German and modern American architecture will be given by Dr. Seigfried Scharfe today and tomorrow afternoons at 4 o'clock in the Lecture Room in Robinson Hall, of the Harvard School of Architecture. While the lectures are held under the auspices of the School, they will be open to any member of the University who may care to attend.
The title of the first lecture will be "Modern German and Modern American Architecture. A Comparison"; that of the second, "Frank Lloyd Wright Seen Through German Eyes."
Dr. Scharfe is well qualified to discuss the two fields of German and American work. He studied the history of art and architecture in the Universities of Jena, Vienna, Bonn, and Halle. In 1925 he took his Doctor of Philosophy degree at Halle. For two years he taught History and Criticism of Art in the University of Wisconsin.
