A strong Bradford-Durfee soccer team broke through the ragged defense of the second University eleven yesterday to win by the score of 5 to 0. With this defeat the Jayvee team embarked on its schedule of seven games.

The Harvard team was handicapped in its contest with Bradford-Durfee by lack of practice. Most of the men on the team are experienced players and several are veterans of last year's squad but they had not played together enough this fall to develop smooth team work.

In the first half of the game, the Crimson team kept the ball in the visitors' territory almost constantly. In the second period, Murray broke through the Harvard defense and scored the first goal for Bradford-Durfee.

In the second period, it became evident that the hard playing of the first half had tired the Jayvees, and Brown succeeded in scoring the visitors' other four tallies, two in each quarter.

Practice for the University team yesterday consisted of scrimmages with the Freshmen to perfect plays for Saturday's game with Army at West Point.
